INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS AND THE UNIVERSITIES

After the Second World War, at the time of the creation of the United Nations Organization and its different sections, especially the World Health Centre, whose work is mainly oriented towards developing countries, the Colonial Health Service is a valuable source of numerous specialists on the pathologies of these countries.

Its tradition and its competence are taken advantage of by these international organizations, but also by universities, both in Metropolitan France and overseas, which develop rapidly. Many are the members of the Health Service who are called upon to work in these establishments, give lectures and even conduct academic cycles. A lot of them are incorporated into the permanent teaching staff.
